Saving my second pay check

Starting with the first payroll in April my goal is to save the entire paycheck from the part-time gig. The hours have declined in the past few weeks. I will be back to regular schedule in a few weeks. This is my new mission. It is not a huge amount of money each month, but with regular hours can add of to around $600 per month after taxes.

Am so excited with this new goal.

What are you saving this for?

I just arrived here so will be reading some more to learn about your situation but thought I ask.

Thanks frugalista and Diva.

Mark I currently only have $1,000 in liquid savings. So my savings goal, is just to build that up and weather whatever storms may be ahead.

Congrats, I would suggest doing some money hiding...maybe put the money from that second job in a separate savings account.

I'm also saving all of my part time cash...I'm not making as much as you are (usually about $100/month), but every bit is helping increase my down payment account!

I find saving smaller amounts often keeps the momentum going. Good luck!
