The debt consolidation checks were sent in from my credit union. However, because of the holiday season the checks took a little longer than normal. So they were posted after the closing dates, which resulted in only the finance charges on the new statment period. I simply called and explained my intentions were to pay the balance in full. They said fine we will credit you.
One card I had to threaten closure but that was the one with the most finance charges.
