The sales tax in NYC just went up.
The subway fare went up.
My health insurance payment went up.
My car needs tires.
My rent will go up 3 or 4% in November.
The only bright light is my salary goes up 4% this month, and even that doesn't cover the other increases.

Your insurance going up - that sucks. Sales tax going up - double sucks. And, your car needs tires. I'm sorry, man. I hope this bad news leads to some silver lining.
