I was watching CBS News Sunday Morning

Random facts I learned from this morning's show:

Musician Kenny G majored in accounting in college. He also asks the right accounting questions before decided to go on a tour. He was one of the initial investors in Starbucks.

Suzie Orman says we should not buy more than we need, which is why she only has one pair of earrings.

One million dollars in hundreds is about a nice 22 lb package.

Paper money is not paper, but cotton and linen.

Bill Gates and Warren Buffet plays bridge. I wonder if playing bridge will make me rich.

OH and some fool, sorry I mean entrepreneur is selling plots of land on the moon. Is that an oxymoron?? Plots of land on the moon?? Da hell!! I wonder if I can get a mortgage to finance that. The deed is called a Lunar Deed. There are people out there who are buying it. $19.99 and a part of the moon can be yours. LMAOOOOOOO

I saw this years ago in the West Edmonton Mall in Canada. My question is where do these people get off thinking they have claim over the land on the moon and are entitled to the proceeds? Does that seem strange to anyone else?

I can't seem to decide whether the moon man is incredibly foolish or some kind of mad genius. I mean, if people are paying... why not? But then again, I wonder if he can get sued since he really doesn't have any right to the land. Unless he's related to Neil Armstrong, then maybe...

Good luck convincing the US government that you can claim your plot on the moon... ;)

Someone is selling plots of land on the MOON??? You've got to be kidding. How can a person even own moon land when it's on a different planet? How do you claim it's yours in the first place? Hmm...that is truly bizarre. Suze Orman makes a decent point, but I think it's nice to have several different pairs of earrings to match different outfits. Target has cheapo cute ones -- it really doesn't hurt to buy a few more pairs :)

Bridge might not make you rich, but its considered a "corporate game" one where movers and shakers play it while making big deals, sort of like golf or even chess. I took it as a one credit seminar in college..I've since forgotten how to play but trust me its more complicated than spades.

haha, I wonder if the quote from eddie izzard "No flag No country" applies to the moon.

Oh yeah, you are right! Suze Orman only has one pair of earrings! Talk about frugal!
