I am participating and random crap

The decision has been made. I will participate in the 401K at the part-time gig. I just realized am in the position where both jobs (well at least when I had the two) have a matching 401K or 403B. I did not even expect that from the part-time gig.

I will be there for as long as I can.

While we are on the subject of the part-time gig, here goes:

Yeah people are still writing checks, and am still looking at them like they have three heads.

It is back to school shopping time, I know that. Hell, that little bastard does not need that many clothes. Why you got three pairs of the same shade of jeans for him. Let him alternate what he already has, and you wonder why the card declined.

Make your decision before you get to my register. How many times must I say this? Why do you have $200 worth of clothes if you only have $75. Come on, there are people on line behind you.

I don't miss the days of being a cashier. I didn't have patience for it when I was a teenager, and I damn sure don't have the patience now!

It REALLY urks me that people wait until they are on line, in front of the cashier to figure out what they actually intend to purchase!

Girl please I wanted to drop kick somebody just yesterday for doin' that shyt [waiting all the way til' she got to the register to start having second/third thoughts about what she did/did not want] and I'm not even behind the register so I can only imagine how that must make you feel.

What made me more mad was that we all stood in line at least 20 minutes prior to that so she had ample opportunity to do that shyt then.

some folks just can't adjust as technology advances. i love those commercials where everyone's moving through the line with their debit cards and then one turtle slows everything up by writing a check or counting out cash. seriously. get some plastic.

That doesn't make any sense. People are not living within their means just so their kids can keep up with the Jones'. Sad.

Back to school is definitely a marketing ploy. If lil man hasn't grown any, he don't need no new clothes....I maybe got one new outfit for school and that wasn't every year especially the year I changed schools..."aint nobody seen your clothes there" One year my dad went to the flea market looking for school supplies and he brought back paper lined paper.....that had lines missing

too funny! My mother recently put the checkbook away and got a debit card... I'm so proud of her!

I am one of those people who write checks. After 10 years of having a debit card, I swiped it one day at a retailer. Then, 5 days later, someone in Mexico City wipped my bank account clean because *somehow* someone got my electronic debit information from the back of my debit card, made their own card with my electronic information but THEIR name on the front of the card.

I write checks now because I dont want a debit card every again. If you looked at me like I had 3 heads because of that... well, so be it. Look at me funny, but after the situation happens to you, I am sure you will sing a different tune.
